Earlier this year, we surveyed our users and found 76% have rescue dogs, and our friends at Fuzzy found the same. Rescue dog owners are incredibly proud and passionate pet owners who love coming together to share their dogs' special stories.

That have us an idea...

Origins of the Petcube Rescue Block Party

What would happen if we got as many rescue dogs together as we could? Not only would it be amazing to hear about each pup and share their tales in one place, but it could even make history.

So we set an ambitious goal: to assemble the largest group of rescue dogs ever and set a Guinness World Record that celebrates the journey these pets have made from shelters to their forever homes. That's how the idea for the Petcube Rescue Block Party came to be.

Making history together

Petcube is lucky enough to be headquartered in San Francisco, where one of the oldest shelter organizations on the West Coast, the San Francisco SPCA, is also located. We partnered with this historical organization to write a new chapter in history.

Our friends at Pod and Fuzzy, two other pet tech brands super into social causes, also jumped at the opportunity to support animal welfare and pet rescues.

You can still participate!

There's still time to register. Head over to the Eventbrite and get a ticket.

If you would like to participate in the Guinness World Record attempt, you'll also need to fill out a brief online form w/proof of rescue: https://petcu.be/rescuedocs (You'll be a shoe-in for VIP swag and entered into a giveaway).

The record attempt will take place at 1PM and participants are asked to arrive by 12:30PM to take part in the aerial photo.

Meet some of SF's most Insta-famous pups

It's going to be a who's who of San Francisco's most popular four-legged residents.

Supporting rescues since the beginning

Shelter animals have always been at the core of Petcube, and our cameras are in hundreds of shelters worldwide, from South America to Australia. Through its Rescue Program, the company has set up public camera sharing capabilities to enable anyone with the free Petcube App to interact and play with adoptable shelter pets.

When we increase the visibility of shelter pets, whether it be through the Petcube app or through a world record attempt, we help find homes for vulnerable and at-risk animals.

Register on Eventbrite or learn more about the event. Spread the woof - tell your friends! 🐾 #PetcubeRescue @Petcube
